Aircraft Museum Dhangadhi

The Aircraft Museum Dhangadhi is housed in the fuselage of a decommissioned Fokker-100 aircraft and displays over 200 miniature models of commercial and military planes. The collection occupies the preserved cockpit and various compartments of the aircraft body.

The museum was founded in 2014 by Bed Upreti, a retired pilot, making it Nepal's first aviation museum. The creation reflected one individual's passion for preserving flight history through public education.

Young people from the area create model aircraft that are displayed alongside the main collection, showing how the community engages with aviation interests. This involvement reflects how flight captures the imagination of local residents.

Staff members dressed as flight attendants guide visitors through the exhibition and explain aviation technical details in the aircraft cabin. Wear comfortable shoes when visiting, as moving through the aircraft body requires some physical flexibility.

Admission fees from the museum directly fund cancer relief programs through the Bed Upreti Trust. This means every ticket purchase contributes to medical assistance for patients in need.
