Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Muscat, Catholic church in Ruwi district, Muscat, Oman.
Sts. Peter and Paul Church is a Catholic house of worship located in the Ruwi district that combines classical architectural features with contemporary design. The building contains stained glass windows depicting biblical stories that cast colored light throughout the interior.
The original building was consecrated in 1977 by Cardinal Simon Lourduswamy following a land grant from the Sultan of Oman. This gift of land demonstrated the sultanate's religious acceptance and support for the Catholic community in the region.
The church serves as a gathering place for Catholic workers from many countries who live and work in Muscat. It creates a space where people from different backgrounds come together to share their faith.
Visitors are generally welcome to attend services at the church, particularly during scheduled Mass times. It is advisable to dress modestly and check service times in advance to plan your visit appropriately.
The building underwent expansion in 1995 to provide more space for the growing congregation. It remains one of only two Catholic churches in the city and operates under the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia.
