Poltegor Centre, Office tower in Krzyki district, Wrocław, Poland.
Poltegor Centre is an office tower in the Krzyki district rising 125 meters across 25 floors. The building combines a central reinforced concrete core with a steel frame supporting the exterior sections.
Construction began in 1974 under architects Julian Duchowicz, Zofia Szczęsna-Sołowij, and Józef Szymański, taking eight years to complete in 1982. The project reflected the city's postwar redevelopment efforts.
The building took its name from Polska Technika Górnicza, a mining technology company that managed the structure during the 1980s. This connection reflects the industrial roots that shaped Wrocław's development.
The tower contains nine elevators, with three dedicated to freight transport, making access straightforward throughout the building. The top floor houses a conference room and café offering city views.
The roof hosted broadcast equipment for Echo, a television station that became the first private broadcaster in Poland and Eastern Europe during the early 1990s. This installation marked an important moment in the region's media transformation.
