Izabeli i Jarogniewa Drwęskich Park, Municipal park in Wilda, Poznań, Poland.
Izabeli i Jarogniewa Drwęskich Park is a green space in the Wilda district bounded by several streets and covering about 4.54 hectares. The area features mature trees and walking paths that run through the grounds.
The site was developed as a park in 1959 after an Evangelical cemetery from 1865 previously occupied the land. The location also stands on the remains of the former Grolman Bastion, a historical fortification.
The park is named after Jarogniew Drwęski, the first president of Poznań after independence, and his wife Izabela. These names honor their importance to the city and its past.
The park has a steep slope from Królowej Jadwigi Street that becomes a popular sledding area during winter months. Visitors should expect increased activity during snowfall, particularly when locals and families come for sledding.
In the western section of the park stands a monument dedicated to the Greater Poland Uprising, marking an important moment in local history within this green space. Many visitors pass by without noticing this significant memorial, though it offers deeper insight into regional events.
