Pośredni Granat

Mittlere Granatenspitze rises to 2234 meters and forms the central peak among three summits in the Granaty massif within the High Tatras. The western wall drops 430 meters toward Black Gasienicowa Valley, where two notable gullies named Drege and Staniszewski cut through the terrain.

The first recorded ascent took place on September 19, 1867, when Eugeniusz Janota, Bronislaw Gustawicz, and guide Maciej Sieczka reached the summit. This early exploration helped establish the peak as a destination for climbers in the region.

The mountain is part of the Eagle Path, a marked walking route that connects several peaks across the High Tatras. Visitors follow this established trail to reach different neighboring summits.

The peak is accessible by following marked trails in the region, though conditions vary greatly depending on the season. Winter brings snow and ice, while summer and autumn are more stable, though weather can change quickly.

The eastern face drops 280 meters toward Buczynowa Valley, showing the dramatic relief of the massif. The northern slope features a distinctive deep cut that divides the mountainside and creates a striking feature in the rock.
