Stawy na Tysiącleciu, Water recreation site in Katowice, Poland
The ecological site comprises two water bodies with reed beds, covering 16 hectares of land between the Rawa River and Załęże district.
The ponds received their name from the Bederowiec area, locally known as Maroko, and previously operated as the Kleofas Water-Recreation Center.
Since 1982, the Harcerska Stanica Wodna houses the 32nd Scouting Water Team, named after Paweł Krawczyk, promoting water activities.
The site maintains a water mirror height of 263 meters above sea level and provides designated areas for outdoor recreation throughout the year.
The ponds support multiple animal species, including smooth newts, lake frogs, grass snakes, muskrats, moor hens, coots, and mallards.
