The small cottage features two main rooms divided by a central hallway, with traditional Romanian architectural elements from the 19th century.
Ion Creanga inhabited this residence from 1872 to 1889, where he wrote his most notable works while maintaining friendships with other Romanian writers.
The residence transformed into Romania's first memorial museum in 1918, preserving original furniture, writing instruments, and personal belongings of the author.
Visitors can explore both the original cottage and the modern cultural complex, which includes an outdoor amphitheater for children's performances.
The writer kept approximately 30 cats in this house, naming each one after real people from his life in his native village of Humulesti.
