Art Museum of Timișoara

The Art Museum of Timișoara occupies a Baroque palace and holds collections of European paintings, decorative objects, Romanian modern art, and contemporary works. The building dates to the 18th century as a governor's residence before gradually becoming a cultural institution. It gained official national museum status in 2020, marking a significant step in establishing the city's commitment to preserving art.
