The Serbian Orthodox Cathedral features two towers with five bells and stands at the heart of Union Square, showcasing Baroque architectural elements.
Built between 1744 and 1748 under Bishop Georgije Popović's direction, the cathedral replaced a previous structure destroyed during a plague epidemic.
The cathedral contains an ornate wooden iconostasis carved by Mihajlo Janić, with six icons painted by Konstantin Danil between 1838 and 1843.
Located at Strada Emanoil Ungureanu 12, the cathedral welcomes visitors throughout the day except during scheduled religious services.
Seven bishops rest within the cathedral's walls, alongside numerous dignitaries who supported the church's maintenance through financial contributions.
