Joseph Zoller House of Iași, Heritage building on Elena Doamna Street in Iași, Romania.
The Joseph Zoller House is a residential building in French neoclassical style with white exterior walls and eight interconnected rooms in Iași. Its design features proportioned windows and doors that reflect the elegance of the architectural movement.
Jewish industrialist Joseph Zoller built this residence between 1912 and 1915 during a period of economic expansion in Iași. The construction occurred when the city was rapidly modernizing and attracting new investments.
The house functioned as a diplomatic hub during World War I and later served institutional purposes that shaped its interior spaces. These changing roles left visible marks on how rooms were arranged and decorated.
The house is located on Elena Doamna Street and is easily accessible on foot, with an information kiosk at the entrance. Visitors should note that the white facade is best viewed and photographed in daylight.
This is the only privately funded historic monument in Iași that underwent major restoration work between 2013 and 2016. The restoration effort preserved the original neoclassical details and structural integrity.
