Nicholas Palace, Imperial palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The Nicholas Palace features a monumental gray marble staircase that curves to both sides, with high ceilings supported by Corinthian pillars throughout the building.

Built between 1861 and 1873 for Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaievich, the palace later became the Kseniinsky Institute for Noble Young Ladies in 1894.

The palace theater presents Russian folk performances with traditional music and dance shows in the former residence of the Imperial family.

Located at 4 Ploshchad Truda near Admiralteyskaya metro station, the palace requires advance reservations for visits and hosts evening cultural performances.

The building incorporates materials from St. Isaac's Cathedral construction, including surplus bricks and stones used in the vestibule decoration.
