Foros Church, Orthodox church in Foros, Russia
The Resurrection Church stands on Red Rock cliff at 412 meters above sea level, offering views across the Black Sea coastline.
Moscow tea merchant Alexander Kuznetsov commissioned the church in 1892 to commemorate Emperor Alexander III's survival of the Borki train accident.
The church combines Russian and Byzantine architectural elements, featuring a central dome supported by columns rather than exterior walls.
Visitors can reach the church through the Old Sevastopol Highway, with free entry but limited parking spaces during religious celebrations.
During the Soviet period, the church building served different purposes, including a restaurant, before returning to religious use in 1990.
