Lazarevskoye Microdistrict, Coastal resort in Sochi, Russia.
Lazarevskoye sits where the Psezuapse River meets the Black Sea, spreading along several kilometers of coastline with beach sections and waterfront promenades. The settlement serves as the central hub of a larger administrative district and includes lodging options alongside shopping facilities for visitors.
A fortress built in 1839 formed the origin of this settlement, which took its name from Admiral Mikhail Lazarev. During the 1960s, the area became part of Sochi and developed into a Black Sea resort destination.
The microdistrict maintains several recreational facilities including a dolphinarium, attracting families throughout the warm season from across the Russian Federation.
A railway station links the settlement to other sections of the Black Sea coast, making day trips or onward travel simpler. The main season runs from May through September, when weather is warm enough for swimming.
The settlement changed its legal status several times, shifting from an independent community to part of a larger city. Today it heads an entire city district, even though it remains a microdistrict within Sochi.
