Nájemní dům První ruské pojišťovny is a Neo-Baroque building with yellow brick walls and granite-clad ground floors located in Moscow's Meshchansky District. The facade displays ornamental stonework and architectural details typical of early 20th-century Moscow construction.

The building was designed in 1905 by architect Alexander V. Ivanov to serve as headquarters for the All-Russia Insurance Company. Soviet authorities took control after 1918 and converted it for security purposes, marking a significant shift in its function.

The building shows how early Soviet authorities reshaped commercial spaces, with changes visible in its facades and repurposed interiors. It reflects the shift from private business to state control during this transformation period.

The structure sits in central Moscow with good transportation connections, making it easily accessible from various parts of the city. Some interior spaces have restricted access, so plan to view the building mainly from the outside.
