Курская дуга, tor wyścigowy (Rosja)
Kurskaya Duga is a racing track for automobile competitions located in Kursk. The circuit ran approximately 2.5 kilometers through city streets with eight corners, featuring a smooth asphalt surface designed for competitive motorsport events.
The circuit first hosted street racing events for the RTCC series in 2008, attracting significant crowds with approximately 10,000 tickets sold initially. After running for several years through 2011, races became increasingly infrequent as public interest declined.
The site is located in downtown Kursk and is best reached by personal car or taxi, as public transport does not go directly there. Visitors should expect that viewing stands and large screens are set up during events to follow the racing action.
The circuit utilized city center streets, including Aleksandra Nevskogo, Sonina, and Lenina, making the urban environment part of the racing experience. Central streets transformed into a racing venue only for specific events and holidays, offering an unusual way to bring motorsport into an urban setting.
