Monument to Salavat Yulaev, Bronze equestrian monument in Ufa, Russia.
The monument depicts Salavat Yulaev mounted on horseback, positioned on a cliff overlooking the Belaya River in central Ufa.
The sculpture was unveiled in November 1967 as a tribute to the Bashkir national hero who led an uprising against Russian rule in 1773.
This monument represents Bashkortostan's national identity and appears on the republic's coat of arms as a symbol of regional pride.
The statue stands 9.8 meters tall, weighs 40 tons, and rests on three support points atop a granite pedestal.
The sculpture required an internal steel frame embedded in concrete to maintain stability despite its massive size and limited support points.
