Ufa Rail Bridge, Railway bridge in Ufa, Russia
The Ufa Rail Bridge extends 655.5 meters across the Belaya River with six spans of steel construction, each measuring 109.25 meters in length.
The bridge, designed by engineer Nikolai Belelyubsky, underwent construction from 1886 to 1888 and formed an essential part of the Trans-Siberian Railway development.
The structure represents a milestone in Russian engineering, demonstrating the successful implementation of domestic materials and construction methods in large-scale infrastructure projects.
The bridge supports double-tracked rail lines, connecting eastern and western railway networks while maintaining consistent traffic flow across the Belaya River.
During the Russian Civil War, the bridge required extensive reconstruction after damage from artillery fire, involving 2,500 workers to restore its functionality.
