Археологическая пещера

The Archaeological Cave is a limestone cavern with multiple chambers running alongside the Malaya Syya River, showing different layers of rock formation. The space contains natural passages and larger rooms where archaeologists have discovered numerous artifacts from ancient times.

The cave was discovered and documented in the 1960s by speleologist Viktor Stotsenko and student volunteers working in the region. This finding revealed that people had lived in the area since ancient times and used the natural shelter for protection and daily activities.

The cave reveals how prehistoric people lived through the artifacts scattered within its chambers, showing their tools, food sources, and daily routines. Walking through these spaces, you notice the evidence of human adaptation to life in these limestone passages.

The site requires guided tours to safely navigate through the passages and chambers, ensuring visitor safety at all times. The best season to visit is during warmer months when conditions are most pleasant and the access paths are easier to traverse.

One remarkable aspect of this site is the large bat population that has made its home in the chambers and has been studied by researchers for many years. These flying mammals are a natural part of the underground ecosystem and can be observed during exploration if conditions allow.
