Kvasten, Suspended steel roller coaster at Gröna Lund, Stockholm, Sweden
Kvasten is a suspended steel coaster at Gröna Lund in Stockholm featuring a 395-meter track with heights reaching 19.6 meters above ground. The ride holds 20 passengers across 10 cars and operates at speeds of 55 kilometers per hour.
This Vekoma-designed suspended family coaster debuted at Gröna Lund on April 28, 2007, bringing a new style of ride experience to Stockholm. The attraction became a lasting fixture of the park and has remained popular with visitors ever since its opening.
The name 'Kvasten' means 'The Broom' in Swedish, inspired by the sweeping side-to-side motions that riders feel as they hang freely from the track.
Visitors must be at least 110 centimeters tall to ride this attraction. The 63-second journey passes close to the Spökhuset haunted house area, adding an extra layer of fun to the experience.
Riders hang with their legs dangling freely beneath the track, creating an intense sensation of weightlessness. This suspended design makes every turn and twist feel more immediate and immersive than traditional seated coasters.
