Forsby gård

Forsby gård is a manor house in Vingåker, Sweden, featuring a two-story stone building in neoclassical style. The estate sits on the western shore of Lake Öljaren and contains sixteen rooms throughout the structure.

The estate originates from the Iron Age and was held by Julita Monastery during medieval times before becoming Crown property in 1553 under Gustav Vasa. This long history shaped the character of the site over centuries.

The dining room displays Swedish craftsmanship through furniture designed in the 1930s by a castle architect. The interior reflects the style typical of elegant country estates from that period.

The property covers over three hundred hectares with active agricultural and forestry operations. The location is rural, so visitors should expect some distance to travel when visiting.

A three-kilometer oak-lined avenue was planted during Niclas Holterman's ownership and ranks among Sweden's longest tree-lined pathways. This green approach adds a memorable feature to the landscape.
