Strömparterren, Public park on Helgeandsholmen, Stockholm, Sweden.
Strömparterren is a park on Helgeandsholmen located between Stockholm Palace and the Royal Opera. It extends along the Norrström with a rectangular pond, heated seating walls, and a wide staircase down to the water.
The park was established in 1832 as Stockholm's first park funded with public money. A Swiss café once operated under the Norrbro bridge as part of the original park design.
Two sculptures shape the appearance here: Carl Milles' Solsängaren from 1926 and Gusten Lindberg's bronze figure Dimman from 1910. Both works contribute to the character visitors experience when walking through.
The park sits between Stockholm Palace and the Royal Opera with direct access to the Medieval Museum nearby. A café with outdoor seating makes it a good spot to rest while exploring the surrounding area.
A pontoon bridge here works as both a performance stage and a sun deck where visitors can relax. Local fishing enthusiasts regularly gather at the bridge supports, making it an active spot throughout the day.
