Roblek Lodge on Begunjščica, Mountain hut in Radovljica, Slovenia.
Roblek Lodge is a mountain hut located at 1657 meters elevation on the slopes of Mount Begunjscica in the Karawanks range. It provides overnight accommodations and meals for hikers traveling the mountain trails and passes that connect the surrounding valleys.
The lodge opened its doors on July 25, 1909, as a shelter for travelers crossing the mountain passes between the surrounding valleys. Since its founding, it has become an important stop along one of the most traveled routes through the Karawanks.
The lodge holds a place in Slovenian musical culture, as musician Slavko Avsenik composed a piece titled 'Na Roblek' dedicated to this mountain shelter. The name has become part of local identity and is recognized by hikers and music enthusiasts alike.
The lodge is accessible via several marked trails starting from Draga valley, Trzic, or Zavrscina valley, each offering different routes for different fitness levels. Overnight stays are available in private rooms or shared dormitories, making it suitable for solo travelers and groups alike.
In 2017 the lodge received recognition as Slovenia's leading mountain hut, an honor that reflects its quality and hospitality at this remote elevation. Such recognition is remarkably rare for mountain shelters operating in such demanding conditions.
