Mladika, Art Nouveau building complex in Ljubljana, Slovenia
The Mladika Complex features two connected buildings with white facades, red brick elements, and decorative stucco floral motifs throughout the structure points.
Constructed between 1906 and 1907 following the Ljubljana earthquake of 1895, Mladika initially functioned as a girls' lyceum and boarding house.
The buildings incorporate educational symbols, including owl sculptures representing wisdom and a relief depicting four girls with coats of arms by Ivan Zajec.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia currently maintains its headquarters within the Mladika Complex at the intersection of Preseren and Subic Streets.
The clock turret above the main entrance combines modernist influences with local architectural elements, making it a notable landmark in Ljubljana's Center District.
