Description
The Museum of Modern Art is an art museum in Ljubljana with a facade of stone blocks and columns. The interior spaces are designed to allow natural light to fill the galleries and illuminate the displayed works.
History
The building was constructed between 1940 and 1951 under architect Edvard Ravnikar. He integrated design elements from his mentor Jože Plečnik into the structure.
Culture
The galleries display works by local and international artists who shaped modern art movements of the 20th century. You will encounter paintings, sculptures, and prints showing different artistic approaches and styles from that period.
