Manor in Snina

The manor in Snina is a two-story building with rectangular form and prominent facade elements arranged symmetrically throughout. The windows feature decorative frames and display coordinated architectural details across the structure.

The manor was built in 1781 and replaced an earlier wooden structure previously under the control of Countess Terézia van Dernáthová. Shortly after, the property passed to the Rholl family, who developed it further.

The building serves today as a cultural center, housing the municipal library and exhibitions featuring objects from the region. Visitors find here regular art displays that showcase local artists and historical collections.

The manor is accessible to visitors on specific weekdays during set opening hours, with a midday closure period to consider. It helps to check current visiting conditions beforehand to plan a smooth visit.

Beneath the manor runs an underground corridor specially designed for horse carriages. This hidden passage allowed different sections of the property to be connected without using the upper level.
