The region preserves remains from the 11th century when the Khmer Empire built sanctuaries here. The Ku Kasing structure stands away from main routes and testifies to that distant era.
The province maintains its textile traditions through high-quality silk production and hosts rocket festivals across multiple towns during May and June each year.
Route 214 and Route 23 connect the area to neighboring regions by road. Flights from the local airport to Don Mueang in Bangkok operate regularly and make travel from the capital straightforward.
Inside a 68-meter tall Buddha statue at Wat Buraphaphiram, a staircase leads up to knee level. From there, visitors can look out through small openings at the surrounding area.
