Mai Khao

Mai Khao is a coastal strip in Thalang featuring a sandy beach that stretches more than 11 kilometers along Phuket's western shore. Casuarina trees line the dunes, creating natural shelter along the waterfront.

The name Mai Khao comes from Thai words meaning White Wood, referencing tree species that once covered this coastal area during early settlement. These woodlands shaped the landscape for centuries before current conditions emerged.
