Khao Lampi-Hat Thai Mueang National Park

Khao Lampi-Hat Thai Mueang National Park is a protected coastal area in Phang Nga featuring mountains and beaches. The terrain blends forested sections with coastal zones, offering different landscapes to explore.

The area evolved from a waterfall and forest park into a national park in 1986. This transformation marked an important step in protecting the diverse habitats along this coastline.

Local communities celebrate sea turtle hatchlings each March as they make their way to the Andaman Sea. These events connect visitors with the natural rhythms that shape coastal life here.

Access comes via Route 4, and visitors should arrive early to enjoy good conditions. The park works well for hiking and beach exploration, though sturdy walking gear is needed.

The park protects six different ecosystems, including mangrove forests and coral reefs, that support a wide range of animals. This variety of habitats within one reserve is unusual for the region.
