Banana beach

Banana Beach is a coastal area on the western shore of Phuket island where golden sand meets turquoise water. Tall palm trees line the entire stretch and provide natural shade throughout the beach.

The beach remained largely undeveloped during Phuket's tourism boom in the 1990s and kept its natural character. Local fishermen continued to use the bay in traditional ways for their livelihood.

Local families gather here on weekends to share meals and spend time together at a small beachfront restaurant serving fresh seafood. The place feels like a real meeting point for people from the area rather than a tourist destination.

You reach the beach through a marked path from the main road near Naithon Beach with limited parking along the roadside. It helps to visit in early morning or late afternoon when fewer people are around.

Shallow waters near the shore reveal colorful coral formations and tropical fish visible when snorkeling directly from the beach. This underwater life stays accessible without needing to rent a boat or swim far out.
