Surin

Surin is a beach in Choeng Thale featuring approximately 800 meters of fine white sand and clear blue water, framed by casuarina trees and palm groves along the shore. The beach slopes gently into the sea and offers open spaces for walking and swimming.

The beach transformed from a hub of beach clubs to a more natural coastal setting following a restoration initiative by the Thai government in recent years. This shift allowed the area to become quieter and less developed.

Local vendors operate food stalls along the shore, preparing traditional Thai dishes with fresh seafood and regional recipes throughout the day. The meals reflect tastes that both visitors and residents enjoy while spending time by the water.

The location sits about 23 kilometers from Phuket International Airport and is most easily reached during the months of December through April, when the sea is calm and warm. During this season, the water offers the best swimming conditions.

At the northern end, this beach connects to Pansea Beach, a secluded shore section accessible only to guests of two luxury resorts located there. This exclusive area remains off-limits to day visitors and creates an interesting boundary between public and private use.
