Wat Phuthathiwat

Wat Phuthathiwat stands on a hilltop with multiple golden spires reaching 40 meters high, displaying modern Srivijaya architectural elements and marble-tiled surfaces throughout the structure.

The temple construction reached completion in 1953 as a dedicated monument to commemorate the birthday celebration of the reigning Queen of Thailand at that time.

The interior walls present detailed tapestries depicting Buddhist monks and Thai people in traditional clothing, creating three-dimensional visual narratives of local customs.

Visitors can access multiple prayer halls, meditation spaces, and ceremonial areas within the temple complex, while following the dress code requirements for religious sites.

The temple incorporates stained glass windows featuring geometric patterns, floral designs, and animal motifs instead of the religious figures commonly found in Buddhist temples.
