Kadyanda

The remains of Kadyanda include city walls, a stadium, an agora, a Hellenistic Greek theatre, Roman baths, and multiple temples set within a pinewood forest.

The settlement existed since 3000 BCE, with structures dating from the 5th century BCE through the Roman period until its abandonment in the 4th century CE.

The city features numerous stone monuments and inscriptions, known as Kadawanti in the Lycian language, reflecting the ancient regional civilization.

Located 24 kilometers northeast of Fethiye near Üzümlü village, the site requires sturdy footwear for walking on uneven terrain through forested paths.

The archaeological area contains deep cisterns and underground features scattered across the hillside, offering views over the Xanthos Valley and Fethiye Plain.
