Commander-in-Chief National Historic Park

The Commander-in-Chief National Historic Park spans 40,948 hectares across three provinces: Afyonkarahisar, Kütahya, and Uşak at 1,000 meters elevation.

Established in 1981, this park preserves the battleground where Turkish forces fought their final battle during the War of Independence between 1919 and 1922.

This national park contains numerous monuments and memorials that document the military campaigns that led to the formation of modern Turkey.

Educational programs and guided tours throughout the park provide detailed information about the Turkish War of Independence and its strategic military operations.

The entire park territory encompasses actual battlefield locations where Turkish forces secured their independence, leading to the Republic's establishment in 1923.
