Mihrabad Grove

Mihrabad Grove is a protected forest on Istanbul's Asian side with walking trails and diverse plant life near the Bosphorus strait. The area features multiple paths through natural vegetation and different sections to explore.

The grove opened to the public in 2011, transforming a section of Beykoz's landscape into a recreational destination. This conversion was part of Istanbul's larger efforts to develop green spaces for residents.

The grove forms part of Istanbul's green spaces and reflects Turkish traditions of incorporating nature within the city. Locals use it as an everyday retreat from urban life, gathering to walk and spend time outdoors.

The site has restrooms, parking, playgrounds, and designated areas where dogs are allowed. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes and stay on marked paths, especially during wet weather.

The forest protects plant species that have become rare in the region and are preserved through its protected status. This botanical variety makes it a refuge for local plant life.
