Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı Museum

The Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı Museum is a two-story basalt stone house with 14 rooms arranged around a central square courtyard. The building displays the traditional architecture typical of Diyarbakır's historic Sur district and has been carefully maintained.

The house was built in 1733 and served the poet's family as a residence through multiple generations. It was converted into a museum in 1973 to preserve the legacy of poet Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı and recognize his contributions to Turkish literature.
