The İş Bank Economical Independence Museum occupies a 1929 building designed by architect Giulio Mongeri, featuring traditional Turkish architectural elements and stained glass windows.
The museum building served as the headquarters of Türkiye İş Bankası, established in 1924 by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to support Turkey's economic development after independence.
Each floor presents different aspects of Turkish banking history, from original safe deposit boxes to historical meeting rooms and exhibitions about the War of Independence.
Located in Ulus Square facing the Victory Monument, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM with guided tours available.
The building contains an original meeting room where Kemal Atatürk conducted business, preserved exactly as it was during his time there.
