Diego Martin Regional Corporation

Diego Martin is an administrative division on Trinidad that encompasses several distinct communities including Congo Village, Diamond Vale, Green Hill, Patna Village, Petit Valley, Blue Range, and West Moorings. Each of these areas has its own character and contributes to the larger region.

The region was established in 1991 as one of fourteen local governing bodies on Trinidad island. It was later granted borough status in June 2023.

Steel orchestras like Valley Harps and Merrytones perform regularly in national competitions and form an important part of community life. These bands help keep local musical traditions strong and visible throughout the region.

The region contains various amenities and services spread across its different communities. Visitors will find it easier to explore during the drier months when conditions are more pleasant for getting around.

The River Estate Museum holds agricultural artifacts and documents from former sugar plantations that reveal the region's farming heritage. This collection tells the story of how the economy once depended on these operations.
