Eric Williams Plaza, Financial complex in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
The Eric Williams Plaza features two 22-story towers reaching 302 feet in height, making them prominent structures in the English-speaking Caribbean region.
Construction of this financial complex began in 1979 and reached completion in 1986, under the architectural direction of Anthony C. Lewis Partnership.
The Central Bank Auditorium within the complex contains 400 seats and functions as a performance venue for musical and theatrical presentations.
The first tower houses the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, while the second tower contains offices of the Ministry of Finance.
The basement structure extends 25 feet deep with specialized cellular raft foundations and includes water storage facilities for emergency situations.
