Wulai District, Mountain district in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

The Wulai region contains an 80-meter waterfall, dense forests, and numerous natural hot springs across its mountainous terrain, making it the largest district of New Taipei.

The name originates from the Atayal language, where 'kilux ulay' described the steam rising from hot springs when hunters first discovered these thermal waters.

The Atayal indigenous people maintain their traditions through the Wulai Atayal Museum, which displays traditional clothing, tools, and artifacts of their community.

Visitors can reach Wulai by taking a bus from Taipei Main Station, with regular services stopping at major attractions throughout the district.

The Wulai Scenic Train, converted from a former mining railway, transports passengers from the town center to the base of Wulai Waterfall.
