Nanjing Fuxing Station, Metro interchange station in Songshan District, Taiwan
Nanjing Fuxing Station is a metro interchange in Songshan District, Taipei, Taiwan, with one line running elevated and another running underground. The two sections are connected by internal passages and stairways inside the station building.
The station opened in 1996 as one of the first interchange points in Taipei's metro network, linking two lines that had been built separately. Its opening came during a period when the city was rapidly expanding its public transit infrastructure.
The station's multilingual signage system reflects Taiwan's international orientation, providing information in Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean languages.
The station has several exits along Nanjing East Road, and signs are posted in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean throughout. Because the elevated and underground levels serve different lines, it helps to check the signs before heading to the platform.
Although the station combines an elevated section and an underground one, all its street-level entrances look like ordinary pedestrian access points from the outside. Only once inside does the full vertical range of the structure become apparent.
