Penghu County

Penghu County encompasses 90 islands and islets spread across 141 square kilometers, with Magong city functioning as the administrative center of the archipelago.

The islands became an administrative unit in 1281 during the Yuan dynasty, later experiencing periods of rule under the Ming dynasty, Qing dynasty, and Japanese occupation.

Regular flights connect Penghu to major Taiwanese cities through two airports, while ferry services operate from Budai Harbor and Kaohsiung Port to the islands.
