Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology is a university campus in Yongkang District, Taiwan, covering 16.5 hectares (41 acres) with academic buildings, research centers, dormitories and sports facilities. The grounds are divided into several zones connected by pathways and green spaces.
The institution started in 1969 as Nan-Tai Junior College of Engineering and went through several phases of development. It gained its current name and university status in 2012.
The campus reflects values of trust, justice, sincerity and honesty through its layout and the daily routines of students moving between departments. These principles shape interactions across the four colleges that make up the institution.
The campus can be reached from Daqiao Station and offers housing in dormitories with laundry rooms and common areas. The grounds are open to walk through, though certain buildings remain restricted to students and staff.
The business school became the first private technological university in Taiwan to earn AACSB accreditation, an international recognition for management education. This certification is held by only a small fraction of business schools worldwide.
