Fongshan Longshan Temple

Fongshan Longshan Temple is a Buddhist temple in Fongshan District, Taiwan, featuring elaborately decorated interior spaces. The structures display traditional wooden beams, detailed wall paintings, and stone carvings throughout the main halls and corridors.

The temple was founded during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and is the second oldest among five Longshan temples in Taiwan. Its origins connect this region's history with religious traditions that have been maintained across centuries.

Devotees visit regularly to pay respect to Guanyin Bodhisattva, and you can observe worshippers lighting incense and making offerings throughout the day. The practice of seeking blessings and guidance at the temple remains central to the spiritual life of the local community.

Visitors should remove their shoes or wear overshoes before entering the inner areas to show respect for the sacred space. Photography may be restricted in certain areas, and it is advisable to arrive during operating hours.
