The outdoor exhibition area spans over 3 hectares, displaying numerous military aircraft, weapons, and historical archives from Taiwan's air defense forces.
The museum opened its doors on August 14, 1987, as part of the Republic of China Air Force Academy campus to preserve military aviation heritage.
The facility showcases Taiwan's military aviation development through exhibits of aircraft including Curtiss C-46A Commando, Douglas DC-6B, and Northrop F-5 series.
The museum operates Monday through Friday, with access requiring clearance at the Air Force Academy gate due to its location within Gangshan Air Base.
Due to security measures at the active military base, entry restrictions apply to nationals from China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
