白河福安宮

Fugan Temple is a Taoist temple in Baihe District built with traditional Chinese architecture, detailed stone carvings, and multiple prayer halls. The structure features intricate wooden decorations throughout and houses various deity statues reflecting local religious practices.

The site began as a ceremonial space during the Ming-Zheng period between 1661 and 1683, originally called Tiangong Square for celestial worship. It gradually transformed into a major religious center for the region.

The temple draws thousands during Mazu's birthday celebration each year, when visitors gather for religious ceremonies and traditional performances. These festivals are central to the local community's spiritual life and rhythm.

The temple is open from morning through evening with dedicated parking areas available for visitors. Volunteer guides are on site to answer questions and provide information about different areas of the complex.

Inside are multiple deity statues from different traditions, showing how various religious beliefs coexist within this single space. This diversity of divine representations is often surprising to first-time visitors.
