Keelung Fort Commander's Official Residence

The residence combines architectural elements with a primary structure on the northern section and a garden space occupying the southern portion of the property.

Built in 1931 during Japanese rule, this structure initially served as housing for Keelung Nagami Bus company employees before becoming a military commander's residence.

The building represents the architectural transition period in Taiwan, incorporating both Japanese residential design principles and Western construction methods of the 1930s.

Located northeast of Keelung Station, the residence opens its doors to visitors during weekends through the management of Keelung City Cultural Affairs Bureau.

The property includes original receiving rooms and maintains functioning evening lamps that illuminate the grounds each night following historical patterns.
