潮州三山國王廟, Chinese temple in Chaojhou, Taiwan
Chaojhou San Shan Guo Wang Temple is a Chinese temple located in Chaojhou Township, Pingtung County. Its walls display subtle tones and the main worship hall contains detailed dragon-tiger relief sculptures carved into the structure.
The temple was founded in 1742 and remains the only structure in Taiwan preserving pure Cantonese architectural style. It received imperial plaques from Emperors Qianlong and Guangxu, marking its cultural importance.
The temple houses deities of three mountains - Mount Jin, Mount Ming, and Mount Du - alongside Han Wen Gong and Tian Shang Sheng Mu. This worship tradition remains active today through regular visitor participation and ritual practices within the space.
