The World in Aves’ Eyes, Installation artwork at Taipei Main Station, Taiwan
The World in Aves' Eyes is an artwork inside Taipei Main Station in Taiwan that shows how birds might perceive their surroundings. It uses visual elements placed within the station building to offer insights into animal perception.
Joyce Ho and Craig Quintero created the piece in 2010 as part of efforts to bring contemporary art into public transit locations. It belongs to the Daydreams series, which appeared at different sites across the city.
The piece carries an English title and invites travelers to pause and think about how birds might see the same space we rush through. It creates a moment of reflection about the creatures that share urban environments with us.
The artwork is located inside the main station building and can be seen during regular station hours. Travelers can view it while moving between platforms or exits.
The piece invites people to experience one of Taiwan's busiest locations from a different angle. It allows commuters to step outside the rush of travel for a moment and consider another viewpoint.
