台北行旅広場, Public park in Taipei, Taiwan
Taipei Xinglu Square (台北行旅広場) is a public park in central Taipei with multiple play zones designed for different age groups. The layout divides the area into clearly distinct sections, each equipped with its own facilities.
The square was developed in the late 1990s as part of Taipei's push to expand public recreational spaces across the city. It was among the first parks in the area to incorporate inclusive design from the start.
The square is part of the daily rhythm of the neighborhood, used by people of all ages throughout the day. Children play in the dedicated zones while older visitors tend to gather nearby, making the space feel naturally shared.
The park is free to enter and sits close to public transit stops and downtown shopping areas. Paths and facilities throughout are designed to be barrier-free, making the space easy to move around regardless of mobility.
Unlike many parks that were later retrofitted, this space was planned from the beginning with wheelchair-accessible play equipment throughout. At the time of its opening, this level of inclusive design was uncommon in public parks across Taiwan.
