Remains of Taipei Machinery Bureau

The Remains of Taipei Machinery Bureau is an industrial site from the late 1800s that shows how factories and workshops operated in that era. The preserved buildings and equipment reveal how production was carried out at the time.

The facility was founded in 1892 when Taiwan was under Qing rule and seeking to establish modern manufacturing capabilities. This represented an important step in mechanizing production across the region.
